“Warhound raises $200M to engineer war dogs and arm them with Anduril gear”
Per TechCrunch, Warhound — the idea of Colossal Biosciences’ Ben Lamm and Anduril’s Palmer Luckey — emerged from stealth with $200M from investors including Sequoia, 8VC, Corner Ventures and In-Q-Tel, at a $1.2B valuation. The plan: gene-edit working dogs (starting from Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd cell lines) for health, speed and sniffing power, then kit them with Anduril vests and goggles that stream sensor data back to handlers.
Their dogs don’t exist yet — first births are expected early next year. Ours already reports for duty, in meme form, on Solana.
